Why Did I Choose Nelson Mandela?

While looking at the perspective such as political, religious, economic, social, moral, ethical, these played a vital role in the process of thoughts and opinions. I’ve wondered, have we evolved in becoming a better leader in society? Have we changed by leading people to a better future? Hitler, Nelson Mandela, Kim Jung ll. These are revolutionary leaders and their leadership styles inspire and motivate us with action.

Becoming a leader isn’t about memorizing a speech or making public appearance. Revolutionary leaders who truly left their mark on the world, displayed important qualities and gave us a better pathway in life. Likewise, Nelson Mandela is an important leader whose life achievements and qualities have changed the heart of men around the world. His presence has paved the way for a new and better world.

I have always aimed to be a successful pilot in future. In fact, I strive one day to become a strong leader in my community and emulate the leadership values that I learn from leaders like Nelson Mandela.

Business is less about management and more about leadership. To what extent is this statement true?

Leadership is defined as the ability to influence a group of people towards the achievement of goals. On the other hand, management relates primarily to maintaining order and consistency. Good leaders such as Nelson Mandela established his leadership style with a vision and inspired the others to follow his direction in order to achieve goals. Besides that, Mandela, the great South African president, adopted the democratic leadership style.

Therefore I truly agree with the statement stated above,” Business is less about management and more about leadership“.  Regarding leadership, compassionstrength and knowledge is the key which shows a great and significant leader. In fact, followers always expect their leaders to be fair and most importantly, they expect their leaders to share their values and provide DIRECTION. With that, I see Nelson Mandela.

Life Achievements

Nelson Mandela, a man with humor, trustworthy and humility, brought resistance to peace. He embraced sacrifices to his nation without hesitations. Now, he has received more than 250 honourable awards and a Noble Peace Prize (1993).  Besides, along with many peace and educational activities, Mandela has been supporting 46664 concerts to support HIV/AIDS victims since 2003. This is because his son died from AIDS and he believed that the dead of his son is the curse of Africa.

From a young boy, schooled for royalty, to political activist, to prisoner, to President, to respected scholar and statesman, Nelson Mandela has contributed and sacrificed so much for his nation and also around the world. His contribution to the world has been named as ‘Mandela Day’ on his July 18 birthday as well.
